The Starred view on both desktop and iPhone versions are designed to show
all starred tasks, whether complete subtasks in order is checked or not,
whether the task is completed or incomplete.

I suspect that you have modified the original Starred view on the desktop.
My guess is that you have changed the Action Filter for the Starred view on
the desktop version from "All" to "Active".

Open a new blank data file and you will note that the Starred view has the
Action Filter set to "All" by default.
