Ack, that's scary! I've been syncing with Android via the cloud for months and it's been very stable for me.
Did you change those tasks on Android at all? go into Android settings and check if you have "Use Server version" for your sync conflicts. I prefer this option because on the desktop it I have it set to ask about conflicts. There is a known bug that if you do something like "complete" on the desktop, and then dismiss a reminder on the other platform, it will use the newest change, which is "dismissal of reminder", will prevail. If that doesn't explain it, I'd suggest creating a new cloud file and profile on Android. I hope you can figure it out...this is excellent software.
