It's certainly viable to have a particular view, probably a subset of an
Active view, that shows you only the tasks with Due dates.  You might want
also to look at other ways that would narrow your task list, so that you
can use due date only for hard, fixed dates by which a task must be
completed.

I believe it is by design that tasks without due dates show up in the
various Active views. (To see what makes a task Active, look in the help on
the desktop version).  If every task has to have a due date to be
actionable, then due dates tend to become artificial and lose their
meaning. At the least, they have to be changed a lot as priorities ebb and
flow.

I use Start dates if a task really can only be done in the future. That way
it doesn't show up on any of the Active lists. Context, Goal, and Starred
are other ways to "slice" the tasklist. On the desktop, there are flags,
but they don't transfer to mobile apps (at least not Android).
