Hello Charles, That wouldn't be a problem. If you have your second monitor disconnected, Windows 7 relocates all your windows onto the laptop screen. You can also retrieve windows which have gone outside the view of the monitor by right-clicking the Taskbar and selecting "cascade windows", or "show windows stacked", or "show windows side by side".
