Hi, Veran.
Adding new tasks in a filtered view is tricky. Two suggestions:

- Go to the "All Tasks" or "outline" view. Add your new task(s) there. Make 
sure they end up under the correct project. Then go back to the project view 
and you should see them. 

Or

-Take Steve's suggestion to zoom in, but leave off the ProjectName filter.  A 
zoomed, unfiltered view wirks well for adding new tasks.
