Actually in that case you don't have to change it manually. The start date will track with recurrence when it is completed.
So, suppose you have a task, "Water plants every week", due Sunday at 6pm, and the reminder is for Sunday at 3pm.. If you set the start date and time also to Sunday 3pm, and then you complete this week's task, both the reminder and the Start date/time will be moved to the next Sunday at 3pm, and the task will not be active until then. (And, the to-do list by default lists only active tasks). If you only set the Start date and not time, it will show up active every Sunday with no time set. If I had time to think about your proposed options I would probably argue against them. Hide-in-todo is currently a static property of a task. It would be confusing to combine this with dynamic properties. However, I would suggest it could be added to the proposed (but not promised or addressed by developers) automation idea that gets proposed every once in a while, where the user can say, "When X, then Y". There could be, "When reminder time hit, turn off Hide-in-todo". But I like start dates better because they are designed to be dynamic.
