I've understand your notes about start time. And see that it's really useful for recurrent tasks.
But exists another scenario: 1. Regular task. Start date = today (without time) 2. I handled task partially and need to suspend it a little and continue in 2 hours 3. So I will set reminder for now+2h and continue to handle other tasks. Exactly in this situation I would like to do not see task in active todo list. It's not a problem if I have only 1 such task. But It's really annoyed if you have 10 or more. I've realized that I may change start date+time each time but it's not very convenient to change every time 2 fields (start time and reminder time).
