In addition to Dwight's suggestion you might also consider using Flags. The advantages of Flags for this purpose are that: -
1. If you switch the task to another person it's simpler to change since a task can only have one flag 2. You can sort by Flags - the sort order follows the order you set in Manage Flags 3.
