I eventually got a working system happening by dumping all files and cloud sync files (I use 3 devices) . Then started again with new files. I lost a bit of data but it could have been worse. The annoying thing is the time spent. The last time I had to redo it all (Jan this year) the phone app was suddenly chewing CPU and uploading 20 times its normal daily data. Didn't take long to go thru the Mthly limit. I guess at the end of the day it is pretty cheap. Though the $'s for the sync service is heading towards the edge of good manners.
