Just another voice added to the previous replies: Like you, I have a tightly controlled computer at work. No Internet or network access. Here's what I do: I keep a copy of my desktop .mlo file on a USB stick. I then plug this into my work computer and do a quick (5 seconds) MLO file sync. The option for setting that up is "Sync to other data file located on my computer, flash drive or LAN" in the Sync Profile dialog. I then unplug the USB stick and work with the local (sync target) copy. Before leaving the office I sync to the stick again and bring it home. Another sync on my home computer from the stick and I'm good to go at home again. Once the home file is sync'd, Cloud Sync automatically pushes/pulls everything between my home desktop and my phone. It sounds awfully awkward and convoluted when it's written down, but once you get into the rhythm it all works really well and is quite quick. As a by-product, I have three separate copies (backups in different locations) of my MLO file: home, office and (encrypted) USB stick. Also, if I'm ever stuck somewhere that's not home or office, I have a copy on my USB stick that goes with me everywhere. Any questions about the setup, or things that might be a deal breaker for you, please ask. I've got a few workarounds for some of the inevitable little snags with this setup. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group.
