:^) OK so a View can be used by multiple Workareas, and not the other way around. Got it!
But what still puzzles me is exactly which properties can only be saved within a View and which properties of what you see on the screen are specific to that Workarea level only. e.g. Does the View only refer to stuff going on in the left hand side of the screen within Filter, or does the stuff in the middle of the screen (e.g. which columns in which order) get affected? J PS Come to think of it I still don't exactly understand what is meant by "Set default for this tab". I keep using it but I don't really know what it means.
