My experience is the same as Christoph's - MLO is one of the most stable 
applications I use. I'm using the portable version, by the way.

I'd immediately think it's some kind of incompatibility with other software 
or hardware installed on your PC. Have you tried reinstalling MLO? What 
about running a portable copy of a USB stick or somewhere your C-drive? 
Does the same thing still happen?

Hopefully MLO support team can take a look at your log files and find the 
underlying cause of your problem.
