I have had cases where MLO gets hung up, I would estimate maybe once every 12 to 18 months. Mostly I believe it to be environmental factors like the time I turned out to be running a full backup and a full system virus scan at the same time and the system was running at the speed of a glacier. Since it's infrequent and recovery is fast and reliable I don't pay much attention. Once after a new version install I had crashes and nobody else did, a re-install cured it. The only other related incident is that when something unrelated causes a crash (I seem to get a lot of crashes caused by various browsers) while MLO is running, upon recovery MLO will ask if it crashed - I answer no and that's it.

I'd immediately think it's some kind of incompatibility with other software or hardware installed on your PC. Have you tried reinstalling MLO? What about running a portable copy of a USB stick or somewhere your C-drive? Does the same thing still happen?

Hopefully MLO support team can take a look at your log files and find the underlying cause of your problem.

Now: Is anyone else experiencing this, too? It's not always the same reason that (in my view) causes the crash, and they're not really reproducable. Just - boom - hangs, not responding, crash dialog.
