I have over 11k tasks and have no issue on the desktop version. The app I get the annoying message about having too many tasks but haven't seen that it is causing any problem. I don't use the mobile app a lot though. I have had issues a long time ago with crashing but it was caused by something else and support helped me get it fixed. I believe it took a reinstall but I may have had to go back a version. Right now I am up to date with the current version and working without issue with over 11,000 tasks. I use it all day everyday.
