Hi there, If I understand you correctly, you might be able to do the following:
Adding context to those targeted tasks, such as context "Main Tasks". Create a MLO view shows tasks only with "Main Tasks" context. And then you can keep checking on them whenever you want on Desktop. That's it. Hope this help.
