I believe context inheritance is intended to work one way but there are a few vectors that were missed:
Adding tasks to a folder through a widget does not cause a task to inherit contexts attached to the destination folder. Changing contexts attached to a folder does not update child tasks to that folder unless they are moved out of the folder and back in.
