Grant, Try some custom formatting in the Options -> General Application Options -> Themes and Formatting. You can change the font color/size/bold for folders and regular text. You can also select those items in the main outline and change the formatting. All my top level tasks and folders are bold. I have projects bold and a tan color and changed the normal font color to black.
