Details:
Use Glade/gtkbuilder resource files for the GUI instead of manually coding
it.
This will allow a better separation of "GUI code" and code that actually
"does stuff", making the program easier to read and understand. And one can
use GUI builders like Glade3 and similar.
As I understand it, this is also the most common way to do Gtk based apps,
making this a more idiomatic solution. It might also decrease code
duplication, but that is left to be seen.
