Follow-up Comment #1, bug #14129 (project mypaint):
Apart from the obvious work that needs to be done to migrate to using
resource files, there are two other potential issues that I can think of:
1) There might be places where the GUI/presentation and logic is so closely
tied that such a migration might seem unfeasible.
In these cases one can either refactor to make the two more separated, or
keep the manual GUI code.
2) Martin Renhold notes that a prerequisite for this change is that changes
to GUI resource files results in a nice diff.
