Follow-up Comment #5, bug #14871 (project mypaint):
I can still reproduce this issue with today's git. On Ctrl key release picker
square still stays on.
This is quite error prone behavior when you tend to work fast. My vote goes
to - pen lifting or ctrl release should deactivate color picking, no matter
which event happens first.
