Follow-up Comment #1, bug #15087 (project mypaint):
Funny, since there is currently no code that manages other windows when going
into fullscreen mode. I would like to add some, though, to hide all open
windows when going fullscreen. This might also fix this odd behaviour you are
seeing.
(Tool windows are supposed to stay on top during fullscreen mode, and
entering fullscreen is meant to give you all the screen area for painting. If
you want to keep the tools, you can maximize the window instead.)
