Follow-up Comment #9:
The windows are drawn differently in wm2 (and they're also unresizable, but
so be it: frankly that's a wm2 bug).
In metacity nothing looks different, but everything will now iconify to the
GNOME panel together. I think you only get a single button too...
In Compiz, nothing looks different. Behaviour as mentioned for metacity
above.
And in WinXP, it looks like this makes the reported problem go away. Closing
this bug, thanks for the feedback :)
