Details:
One can normally change the size of the layer list window quite a lot, making
it easy to match it's width to a colour-selector and brush list along the side
of the canvas. However, the moment one tries to name a layer (by clicking in
the empty area of a layer entry), the text field that appears stretches the
window to have a a much wider minimum-width. From then on it remains rigid to
that width since the name field cannot be removed again.
This is noticeable if one use the layer-dialogue as a pop-up, but if one
keeps it permanently accessible on-screen it detracts from the feel of the
program to have the GUI chang permanently only by clicking in the wrong
place. I suggest having the minimum-size of the layer name field adjusted so
as to not stretch the window.
