Follow-up Comment #2, bug #15381 (project mypaint):
This does not affect my workflow much. Unfortunately "Pick Context" doesn't
work between MyPaint sessions, but I get around it by making an ad hoc color
palette off in the corner, so that I can use "Pick Color" when I need to.
You can go ahead and close this issue once you have updated the
documentation.
