Follow-up Comment #9, bug #16569 (project mypaint):
Summary after some tests run by a Windows user (pekuja on IRC):
- Tablet (Bamboo Fun): GIMP lines clearly less jaggy than MyPaint.
- Mouse: GIMP and MyPaint lines about equally jaggy.
Brushes with radius depending on speed result have line segments of
different, fixed thickness. Pressure is correctly interpolated (linear).
Conclusion: in addition to this bug, MyPaint seems to get less tablet input
events on Windows than GIMP. Reason unkown. We shoud provide a way to measure
this, or even better fix this. As soon as this bug is fixed, the problem
(getting too few events) will be harder to notice consciously.
