Follow-up Comment #9, bug #15509 (project mypaint):
I just want to add the observation that the scaling problems at some zoom
steps seem to disappear if the canvas is rotated at any angle that is not a
multiple of 90 degrees. The rotated image seems a bit blurrier though.
