Just to update: after jonnor's initial review, I've rewritten the history of
this change as
http://gitorious.org/mypaint/mypaint/commits/dockable-panels-updated cleaned
up the code a lot, fixed up a few more bugs, and deleted the old
everything-in-one branch. Hopefully this'll be a little easier to understand
and integrate.
