Follow-up Comment #1:
Yes it's only asking if you have more than 30 seconds of work. I decreased it
to 8 seconds now in git. I hope this works for your use case.
It's very useful for quick test-and-development, and it's useful during
normal use if you accidentally made a scratch or two but nothing else.
There was also a minor bug causing the last undoable stroke not to be counted
to the 30 seconds limit if you hit F3. This is fixed now, too.
