Follow-up Comment #3, bug #17941 (project mypaint):
I'd like to add that brush modes seem to save different settings for brushes
now. For instance, a brush with pressure sensitive alpha lock only works if
the main alpha lock brush mode is active. When in the normal brush mode, the
brush's individual alpha lock setting gets reset to zero.
I mention it here as it sounds related. I can make a new bug report if
needed.
