Reported by deevad in IRC. The exception
"Failed to convince libpng to convert to RGBA (wrong color_type)"
is produced when trying to load any paletted PNG image, as confirmed with
pnginfo and saving new indexed PNG images from the GIMP. Exceedingly minimal
sample file attached. Backtrace at http://www.pasteall.org/29554
This seems to have been introduced in d562b243, according to git blame. The
weird thing is that, according to the libpng docs, the
png_set_palette_to_rgb() invocation is supposed to fix this
