Details:
1) Try the latest MyPaint-GIT with the default settings.
2) Press Space
The menu pops up in the top left. Ok, so I click on that to have it go away
(using LMB). I now go into a sort of "locked" panning mode, following the
cursor (it doesn't matter which mouse button I click away the menu with).
I can press space again, which will get me into the menu again. However, going
to something like edit->preferences (to see what the heck is wrong with the
buttons), will keep me in the panning mode - the image will pan behind the
preferences window and I cannot press anything.
Pressing ESC -will- get me out of this loop. But since I'm used to using space
to pan (never use mouse buttons for panning, it's to easy to hit when doing
screen recordnings!), I accidentally end up in this situation over and over.
Removing the entry for Scroll View = Button2 will stop the loop from happening
- but then space won't work at all anymore, neither for panning or anything
else. And reassigning Button2 leads to a traceback when pressing space, as
mentioned in a separate bug report.
I tried with a clean settings.json file. My tablet is properly recognized and
disabling it in MyPaint's prefs has no effect on this (besides, the same
things happen when using the mouse only).
I use Openbox without any bells and whistles.
