Update of bug #20333 (project mypaint):
Severity: 4 - Important => 3 - Normal
Status: None => Ready For Test
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
You mentioned having to press Ctrl+Esc. Does pressing just Esc not work for
you?
Cannot reproduce here, but I don't run kubuntu.
This might be the grab being broken elsewhere if it seems more likely to
happen. Modern desktops being what they are, there could be all sorts of
background processes popping up notifications...
Anyway, can you test again with
https://gitorious.org/mypaint/mypaint/commit/d5335873bfc3a7bdfbf510d1d78b46107a9d008e
please, and let me know if it fixes the problem? There's not much we can do if
some external abb grabs the pointer, but I've added code to exit the mode a
little more cleanly and make some debugging noises when it happens - pasting
any "DEBUG:" likes you get in a terminal when it happens would be really
useful.
