Follow-up Comment #3, bug #20427 (project mypaint):

[Off topic] I kept sketching a lot in Mypaint last days ( after a month away
in Krita to try to fully adapt to a single solution ). Infinite canvas, sharp
rendering, subtle 'slow position tracking' and near fullscreen workflow have
still an advantage on Mypaint side. Also the fact I can't deform or select and
move part of the drawing force me to a stronger self discipline and this
attention make me improve drawing skill...[/Off topic]

I use here 'Circle (light outline)' (in pref ) and I 'm totally fine with it
in my drawing session with set#2 pen. I feel it like an improvement over 1.0
serie now.
Thanks for the preference menu added for satisfying other users preferences.

About your questions :
>> Do we need a "Custom" prefs item which allows you to enter colours and line
widths directly?
I don't think it's needed. Even, for a simplier GUI ; the 3 radio button could
be a single slider ( left light ; right bold )

>> Is the heaviest of the 3 circle cursors heavy enough for fancy high-res
displays?
I guess we have to wait a user with a 'Retina' display, with a recent build
running on OsX. ( ref : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retina_Display ) Here I
tested as I could ; I have a Galaxy Note, with a high PPI ( higher than 300 )
so also higher than a high res display ( around 200 ). Here is my test picture
: http://wstaw.org/m/2013/02/13/mypaint-bold.png , I read it at 100% pixel
size on my smartphone, and the cursor was ok . ( My bold simulation test is
way too bold ).

>> Are the mode icons for the crosshair cursor right?
Here I don't paint with a first person shooter crosshair, so I can't say ^_^
probably, other user might like a drop down list widget here with other
cursors available : plain black triangle, pencil icon, single pixel... But I'm
bad for feedback about it, as I'm not a user of cursor icon ; I'm a circle
'outliner' user...
