Follow-up Comment #2, bug #20715 (project mypaint):
As Andrew described, this happens only when you move around while holding the
"R" key down. I have pushed a workaround, so it doesn't accumulate lag any
more. It's usable now, although it would be nice to figure out how to speed up
the actual picking.
