It's not completely impossible, but bear in mind that the engine rotates and
stretches those dabs, and renders them at different scales. That's not
something that'll look too awesome with bitmap brushes, as proposed here.
Anyway, I'm in the process of cleaning up this old bug tracker - we're moving
its bugs over to github and closing them down here. This one is a wish without
mockups or code, and I think it's not a good fit for the current brush engine
anyway. Sorry all. Closing as WONTFIX.
(This is the sort of wish where not only do we need a mockup, we need
enthusiastic developer input into the brush engine itself. Patches beat out
mockups for this sort of bug a hundredfold.)
