Looks like the workaround code for dealing with event compression[1] breaking until you re-enter the drawing mode (which has the side-effect of reinitializing the workaround). Which of these two messages do you see in the Terminal, Albert - and, is the problem still happening?
- "evhack: using set_event_compression(True) instead of evhack" - "evhack: set_event_compression() is not available, adding evhack" I use Xfce4 myself, so I may be able to replicate this if it's the "set_event_compression() is not available" one.
