Job Role: Systems Programmer Location: Scottsdale AZ Duration: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate / Rate Cap: $75.00 Duties/Skill Set: * Use technical expertise to resolve issues and restore service following system failures and outages - Maintain software currency and vendor support by installing preventive maintenance and release upgrades to IBM and third party products - Install corrective service as necessary to resolve problems or as prerequisites for upgrades or other projects - Enhance system stability and performance by exploiting new function enabled by software upgrades - Utilize vendor publications, web sites, and other documentation to install and support their products on DHL systems - Manage and install hardware upgrades and changes - Manage and resolve HPSD incident, event, and problem records - Manage, initiate, and perform system changes, using the RFC process - Lead or participate in major IT project activities - Maintain license codes for program products - Use technical expertise to act as consultant and advisor to IT Leadership, -Project Managers, Frontline Operations, Solutions Support, and Application Development - Create, revise, review and enhance Operational Procedures and other documentation used by the Service Desk, Frontline Operations, MTS, Solutions Support, or other groups - Write or revise exits and other programs to implement or facilitate system-related functions - Maintain PARMLIBs, IODFs, and other system and program product configuration files (MVS) - Maintain System Configuration files, User Directory, and other system and program product configuration files (VM) - Other duties as assigned Experience: * 10-15 years systems programming both a MVS and VM environment Primary Role: * MVS/VM Systems Programmer Primary Skill Set: * z/OS Secondary Skill Sets: * GDPS * IBM System z Product Services-Implementation Comments / Other Skills: * VM skills also required * 10-15 years systems programming both a MVS and VM environment Many thanks, Rajesh Jain Software People Inc. www.softwarepeople.us [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ph: 631-863-0299 Fax: 631-574-3122 "8a/SDB Certified" "Certified Women Owned by WBENC" Note: We respect your online privacy.
