We are looking to move to a mySQL db for an application that will possibly process 100's of millions of rows a day and are looking to do it cheaper than an oracle solution. I am new to the mySQL arena and am interested in the groups experience in what mySQL does not do (especially related to backup / recovery) when compared to oracle. I have done some searches on the web and have found some interesting comments (i.e. no view support) but wanted to go to the best source I could find to find out more details.
Thanks.
