I had to reinstall with a newer version recently and I believe it installed properly with Hauppauge TV card selected. Thanks for asking.

If IR remote is set to "Hauppauge TV card," session fails and I am returned to XFCE desktop. If I boot CD and try to install Mythbuntu (either from splash main menu or XFCE desktop) with the same parameter for IR remote, it also fails.
