Quite I lot of people have experienced this problem: see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1304287. I think it should be set to a much higher priority.
I'm having this problem too. I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 live CD 32 bit on an Asus laptop. It displays gnome, but then almost immediately hangs. Only the mouse pointer moves, but you can't get anything to respond. Ctrl+alt+f1 does nothing. -- 9.10 hangs during boot around X login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/466189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mythbuntu Bug Team, which is subscribed to Mythbuntu. Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV: Incomplete Bug description: After an apt upgrade to my 9.10 RC version my system started to hang around xorg login. I can use ssh sessions up until the hang. Tried a fresh install of 9.10 release with the same symptoms. So it seems my system doesn't like some change made between RC and release. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
