I am experiencing this on the Ubuntu Live CD. Should I resubmit this on Ubuntu not Mythbuntu? I came here followed the link to this bug given on the thread I gave you (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1304287)
I've just tried it on safe graphics mode following your suggestion, and it then seems to get less far. It doesn't get as far as displaying Gnome then. It stops just before I'd expect to see Gnome appear (i.e. after you see the white small ubuntu icon on a black background), but it then hangs on a black screen. Hope that helps. let me know whether to resubmit this bug elsewhere. -- 9.10 hangs during boot around X login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/466189 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mythbuntu Bug Team, which is subscribed to Mythbuntu. Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV: Incomplete Bug description: After an apt upgrade to my 9.10 RC version my system started to hang around xorg login. I can use ssh sessions up until the hang. Tried a fresh install of 9.10 release with the same symptoms. So it seems my system doesn't like some change made between RC and release. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mythbuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
