It looks (and works) fine in the default Blue theme. Although the text for the channel and date are fairly small, since the guide also changes on every keypress, there's enough of a noticable change that you can see what's going on. Coincidentally my roommate tells me that the way this is implemented looks very similar to the way the SageTV project / product has implemented the same feature. -b
