I think I read somewhere that the firewire port can be disabled via software by the cable company?
I'm not sure, just saying it *might* not be your card...
Nah, I'm having very obvious firewire problems. :) IE, the ohci1394 driver is throwing a crapload of errors.
I'm trying it on my laptop, but having different errors with the testing apps - will post a message about that shortly.
