My System:
I'm using 2 pchdtv (hd-3000). Watching free over the air ATSC. My backend is a 1.8 Athlon. Connected to 3.2 P4 via 100 Mbps LAN. With my old setup playback was flawless.
Things I changed... Kernel: from 2.6.10 to 2.6.11 mythtv: from .17 to .18 Driver: from pchdtv2.0 (v4l) to pchdtv2.0 (dvb)
OK Everyone who is finding this problem please do the following:
1. Change to TS mode.. I refuse to support PS mode anymore.. It already has known issues with getting lost on AC3 streams when the signal glitches..
2. Comment out the av_remove_stream() code in libs/libmythtv/avformatdecoder.cpp.. This is most likely the source of the audio going silent in livetv..
3. Tell me if you continue to see this problem.. So far 1/1 people have had success with this fix..
If the previous recordings are PS recordings there is nothing I can do to fix it.. I think Jespers Multiple langues for PS mode are causing some of the issues if you are in PS mode, since thats really the only thing that has changed since .17 that would make ANY sense at all..
Commenting otu teh av_remove_stream code in avformatdecoder might still result in channels coming up silent but you should be able to get audio back by using the +/- keys..
