I've checked what it looks like before and after transcoding, and the effect does not exist until the video is transcoded.
It started to do this when I upgraded to latest CVS, somewhere around the 24th (give or take a few days). It's still like that what I last updated (yesterday).
Do you still get that if u turn off "Use libmpeg2 decoding" in settings? I turned that option off and the mythpreview seems to be fine now. Havn't see transcoded shows yet as I'm at work.
