Thanks for the tips. Turning off Texture Vsync Blank seemed to provide a marginal improvement. I'd really like to downgrade my NVidia drivers, but with my kernel (2.6.11.7) I can't seem to get anything earlier than 7167 to compile. I'm attaching the compiler error from the NVidia autobuild in case it gives anyone a clue as to what's causing my incompatibility.

Also try rolling back to 66.29 drivers

Hello,
I'm running today's CVS and NVidia XvMC is working a WHOLE LOT BETTER for me than it has in recent weeks. I can now change channels without ever crashing mythfrontend due to heap corruption.
One new problem that has cropped up though is that I'm getting tons of prebuffering pauses when watching HD content over firewire with my dct6200. I can sometimes watch a channel without any problem, but frequently when I change channels I'll get the prebuffering along with jittery video or stuttering audio. Sometimes exiting and reentering live TV will fix the problem; sometimes not.
I'm running Fedora Core 3 with NVidia driver 1.0-7174. I've attached a sampling from my mythfrontend log.
Any advice or applicable patches?
