When i hear of this, i think why don't we add the stream playing functionality completely to mythtv.
I think we should add the option to add internet streams as programs, wich come in the normal programm list. Then ther must be a handler for internet streams and there had to be a grabber for the program information (I think the grabber had to be special for every different stream.). How do you today play your internet streams?? Xine ?? Mplayer?? We need that the backend tune to them, and convert the format to the normal format of the ringbuffer! I think this can be perhaps done by vlc?? Any more thinkings to that point... -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Im Auftrag von Ian Jackson Gesendet: Dienstag, 26. My goal is to provide a basic interface interface where somebody can enter urls and schedule recordings. Right now, it's a shell script that runs off the cron daemon. However, I plan on using perl on the backend. I haven't really considered the interface yet. I'm just focusing on getting the backend to work. I understand that myth has a built in scheduler. I had a look at the db, however, I think I'm missing the large picture. Can the Internal scheduler be used for anything? How is the scheduling handled? Am I better off to just stick with cron? Thanks, Ian J. _______________________________________________ mythtv-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-dev _______________________________________________ mythtv-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-dev
