Speaking of this I was thinking about how zero-config was implemented in mfd and wondering if there would be value to adding this to myth before mfd is ready (of course I have no idea how close/far it is to being at a state which could replace mythmusic, I say it could today).  Putting zero-config in there could be used to eliminate the step of setting the remote database from the frontend completely.
