DMA is turned on. And the ivtv driver is all alone on IRQ5. Any more suggestions is greatly appreciated. I really miss to be able to do recordings. LiveTV i didn't use that much anyway. But it is the same problem with recordings.

I used > "mythfrontend -v playback" for this log. Bear in mind - mplayer reads directly off of the card to display. Myth does not. It records to disk, then plays from the disk-stored copy. That's the nature of a PVR. So given that, it sounds like you need to check if DMA is enabled on your hard drive(s).
