Welcome! It's great to have new people. I would recommend Jarod's guide at http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php It takes you through, step by step, what you need to do. KnoppMyth is also a good option, but if you don't have any Linux experience, I think that Jarod's guide is probably a better place to start.
